How I Work

A therapeutic relationship is a unique partnership—an environment where feelings, thoughts, emotions, and behaviours can be explored, understood, and reflected upon. Within this safe space, you can gain insight, make choices, and find pathways to change if you wish.

My Philosophy
My approach is grounded in providing a compassionate presence—a place where your emotions are validated, your story is heard, and you can simply be. I support clients through:

  • A

    nxiety, Trauma & Overwhelm

  • Low Self-Esteem, Confidence & Identity

  • Complex Grief (including pregnancy and infant loss) which includes Bereavement as well as other Life Losses.

  • Life Transitions & Health Challenges (including cancer and palliative care)

  • I also focus on resilience-building, emotional wellness, and finding meaning through life’s transitions.

My goal is to empower you to regain balance, clarity, and independence, allowing you to move forward with renewed meaning and peace.

The Way I Work

I offer a collaborative, client-centred approach, working at your pace and tailoring tools and strategies to your individual needs. Our work together may include:

  • Compassion-Focused Therapy: Quieting negative inner dialogue and fostering self-compassion.

  • Trauma-Informed Support: Gently processing and releasing stored emotional pain.

  • Nervous System Regulation: Techniques to help you feel grounded and safe.

  • Creative & Experiential Methods: Journaling, visualization, object work, art, and nature-based exercises.

Between sessions, I may suggest reflective tasks such as journaling, mindfulness, or creative exercises to support your healing process.

What to Expect from Our Work Together

  • A Safe, Non-Judgmental Space: Where you are genuinely heard and supported.

  • An Empathetic, Tailored Approach: We’ll explore your feelings and experiences with curiosity and care, using methods that resonate with you.

  • Flexible Sessions: Dependent on client circumstances. This may include in-person, online, ecotherapy (walk & talk).

  • Regular Review: Therapy is reviewed every six sessions to ensure it continues to meet your needs.
