Services
I offer online counselling for adults who want a gentle, grounded space to explore what’s happening in their lives. My work is integrative and trauma‑informed, which means I draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on what you need.
Below you’ll find the areas I specialise in.
🌿 Trauma & Difficult Experiences
Trauma can leave you feeling on edge, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. Together we explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe, helping you understand your responses and rebuild a sense of steadiness.
🌿 Anxiety & Overwhelm
Anxiety often shows up as racing thoughts, tension, people‑pleasing, or feeling constantly “on alert.” We work gently with your nervous system, your patterns, and the stories you’ve learned about yourself.
🌿 Grief & Loss
Grief isn’t something to “get over.” It’s something we learn to live alongside. I offer compassionate support for bereavement, life transitions, and the quieter, less‑spoken‑about forms of loss.
🌿 Pregnancy Loss & Fertility Challenges
This is specialist, sensitive work. Whether you’ve experienced miscarriage, TFMR, stillbirth, or the emotional toll of trying to conceive, you deserve a space where your story is held with care.
🌿 Support for Creatives
For writers, artists, performers, and makers navigating blocks, burnout, or self‑doubt. We explore the emotional landscape behind your creative process and help you reconnect with your voice.
🌿 Online Counselling
Sessions take place via secure video call. You can attend from anywhere you feel comfortable — your home, your studio, your favourite quiet corner.
My goal is to empower you to regain balance, clarity, and independence, allowing you to move forward with renewed meaning and peace.
Bibliotherapy: Healing Through the Written Word
What is Bibliotherapy? Bibliotherapy is a creative, therapeutic approach that uses literature—including poetry, fiction, and non-fiction—to support mental health and emotional well-being. By engaging with specific texts, we can gain new perspectives on our own lived experiences, find words for feelings that seem "unspeakable," and reduce the sense of isolation that often accompanies trauma and grief.
How It Works in Our Sessions: You don’t need to be an avid reader to benefit from this approach. We might use a particular poem to explore a difficult emotion, or I may suggest a specific book that mirrors a challenge you are facing. This "third perspective" allows us to explore sensitive topics with a sense of safety and distance, often leading to profound "Aha!" moments and deeper self-awareness.
The Benefits:
Enhanced Empathy: Understanding your own story through the lens of another.
Increased Self-Reflection: Using literature as a mirror for your internal world.
Creative Problem Solving: Finding new ways to navigate life's transitions through narrative.

Ecotherapy: Connecting with the Natural World
What is Ecotherapy? Ecotherapy (also known as nature therapy) recognizes the deep, reciprocal connection between our mental health and the natural environment. It moves therapy beyond the four walls of a traditional room, using the rhythms and metaphors of nature to help ground the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and provide a broader perspective on life’s transitions.
How It Works (In-Person and Online):
Walk and Talk (Local): For clients in the North West, sessions can take place outdoors, where the movement of walking and the sensory experience of nature facilitate a more fluid, relaxed therapeutic conversation.
Nature-Informed Online Therapy: For online clients, we integrate "indoor ecotherapy." This might involve working with natural metaphors, visualization, or the "nature just outside your window" to bring the calming, restorative power of the environment into our digital space.
The Benefits:
Regulation: Nature is a natural co-regulator for the nervous system, helping to lower cortisol and ease "fight-or-flight" responses.
Perspective: Observing the cycles of growth, decay, and renewal in nature provides a powerful framework for navigating grief and personal change.
